Roof Financing Explained: Monthly Payments, 0% Promos, and How to Apply

A roof is not something you plan to buy. It usually shows up as a leak, a storm, or an inspection you didn't expect. If paying for it all at once doesn't fit your budget right now, financing can spread the cost into monthly payments.
This guide explains, in plain words, how our financing options work, what they cost per month, and what to watch for, so you can decide calmly what is right for your family.
How roof financing works
We don't lend money ourselves. Financing is offered through a third-party lender. You apply with the lender, the lender reviews your application, and if you're approved, you choose the plan that fits your budget. The lender pays for the project, and you make monthly payments to the lender.
Approval depends on your credit, and not every applicant will qualify. Rates and terms are set by the lender.
What does $1,000 cost per month?
The easiest way to compare plans is to look at the monthly payment for every $1,000 you finance.
| Plan | Term | APR | About per month, per $1,000 | Projects from |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 15-year fixed (Plan 4107) | 180 months | 9.99% | $10.70 | $3,000 |
| 10-year fixed (Plan 4132) | 120 months | 9.99% | $13.20 | $3,000 |
| 7-year fixed (Plan 4012) | 84 months | 12.99% | $18.10 | $1,000 |
Payment examples are approximate, per $1,000 financed, excluding taxes and fees. Rates are subject to credit approval and may change.
How to read this. Multiply the monthly amount by your project size in thousands. For example, a $12,000 project on the 10-year plan at 9.99% APR would be about $13.20 × 12 = about $158 a month for 120 months. Your actual rate and payment depend on the lender's approval.
A longer term means a lower payment, but more interest overall. The 15-year plan has the lowest monthly payment. The 7-year plan has a higher payment, but you pay the project off sooner. There is no wrong answer, only what fits your budget.
Same-as-cash vs. deferred interest: what's the difference?
Both promotions can save you all the interest, if you pay the full balance within the promo period. They work differently when you don't.
12 months same-as-cash (Plan 2012)
- No interest and no payments for 12 months.
- If you pay the full balance within 12 months, you pay no interest.
- If a balance is left after 12 months, it turns into a regular monthly loan at the lender's standard rate.
18 months deferred interest (Plan 1018)
- Low minimum monthly payments for 18 months.
- If you pay the full balance within 18 months, no interest is charged.
- If any balance is left after 18 months, interest is charged from the original purchase date, on the full amount you financed, not just on what is left.
The honest tip: a promo plan works best when you already know how you'll pay it off, for example with an insurance payment, a bonus, or savings that come in later. If you're not sure, a fixed-rate plan gives you a payment that never changes.

Can I finance my insurance deductible?
Yes, when the amount is $1,000 or more. When storm damage is covered by your homeowner's insurance, you are responsible for your deductible, plus any upgrades you choose that insurance doesn't cover. If that total is $1,000 or more and hard to pay at once, you can apply to finance it, subject to credit approval. The 7-year plan and the promo plans start at $1,000; the 10- and 15-year plans start at $3,000.
To be clear: the deductible is always yours to pay, and we never waive it or cover it for you. Financing simply lets you pay it over time.
